Finally, we’re getting back on the road, starting with an appearance at Flint Handmade on May 1.
Flint Handmade has doubled the number of vendors in its show and will be located in four buildings instead of the two it started with in 2007.
There are tons of handmade products in the show. There are jewelry designers, clothes designers, upcycle crafters, knitters who make hats, scarfs, childrens stuffed animals and all sorts of things. Personally, I enjoy all the upcycle products – especially the housewares.
It’s inspiring to see so many types of artists in our city. Hopefully, this summer craft season will be a good one and motivate us to continue throughout the year.

Don’t forget about The Gift of Art this weekend!
We’ll be at Buckham Gallery in downtown Flint selling necklaces, charm bracelets, earrings, sets, regular necklaces and taking custom orders. The event will also help Buckham Gallery with its funds. Like many nonprofits, Buckham has faced a decline in funding because of the current economic crisis. Everyone knows Michigan, especially Flint, has been hard rather hard by the financial problems in the country. So come out and show some support for your city.
